DINEH SAND PAINTINGS

DINEH SAND PAINTINGS

The “Le Jardin du Créateur” Association (“Garden of the Creative one Association”), whose goal is to support one’s awakening to creativity and one’s welfare, received Lorenza Garcia on March 2006, 18th and 19th to carry out a collective realisation. It was made of Navajo sand paintings and was connected with Nature, the Dineh nation and its ancestors.

Through Navajo songs, sharing and exchange, a verbal union was born between the 12 participants, and it brought 3 holy sand paintings.

Common work, “the creative breath of the reigns of the living beings”, is a multicultural work conjoining tradition and modernity, an union of three works which have 3 functions of collective healing. On top of expressing the interdependence of the beings, these works also express in common the Moon-Sun alliance, and they express separately the mineral, vegetable and animal kingdoms.

The Association, allured by the depth and the harmonious beauty (Hozho) of this collective production, will continue the holy bond of friendship which was woven during these 2 days.

CREATION OF A SAND PAINTING - January 15, 2005

CREATION OF A SAND PAINTING

On Saturday January 15th, we gathered some curious people at the Hétic school buildings to create a sand painting. Solenne Gros de Beler, Virginie Chelles, Vithia Chip, Victor Laplace, Gaëlle Mouraret, Adrien Naeem and Lore Brit carried out a splendid sand painting thanks to Lorenza Garcia’s artistic help.
The students wished to represent the community which links each one to another, Hétic. This is why the painting was entitled “Way of Community”.
The Community enables the transmission of know-how and thus gives to one the courage of facing the world.
